Jacob Nissen holds a Master of Science degree in mathematics with a specialization in statistics, which he obtained from the Department of Mathematical Sciences at Aalborg University. His master's thesis revolved around causal inference, with a particular emphasis on the TMLE method. Additionally, his bachelor's thesis focused on inference in spatial statistics.

Why did you choose to continue your career at AAU? 

- I liked the university as a student and research assistant and a good opportunity came up to continue my career as a PhD student at Aalborg University.
