Ghadeer Abuoda took her Ph.D. in computer science and engineering at Hamad Bin Khalifa University in Qatar.

DESCRIBE YOUR RESEARCH AREA AND FOCUS

- Graph analysis and machine learning have become a central part of many disciplines. My Ph.D. thesis research revolves around developing and applying machine learning models that tackle common graph problems (link prediction and clustering) and infer knowledge from knowledge graphs (knowledge graph completion and entity alignment).

Graphs have broad applicability in many domains, so my work impacts many application areas such as social media analysis, transportation network analysis, and recommendation systems. Furthermore, my work can improve the basic techniques in natural language processing and data cleaning.

PROJECTS YOU ARE INVOLVED IN?

- I will be working in the Database and Web Technologies group. My supervisor is Dr. Katja Hose.
